Information is one of the most important things in our daily living. It is considered to be the essence of communicating to one another. As we communicate, we are giving information. Therefore, we are disclosing it to others. There is some information that needs not to be disclosed to others this is called the confidential information. There are many ways in sending one’s information to others. The most common is through verbal or writing, and then followed using modern technologies such as through mobile phones, computers using internet, and even through television in terms of broadcasting. Today as the information increase in a number, humans become curious. Because of curiosity some individuals would like to disclose information.
To counteract these problem computer experts tried to create a solution which disables the anonymous people from getting access to concealed information. This is made using a password of pass phrase. There are many alternatives in generating pass codes. One of which is through fingerprint scanners and eye scanners. As technologies improve, people began to store information into different devices. Modern technologies such as computers, mobile phones, and fax machines become more important to those different establishments as their means of storing and concealing data. It is most common in hospitals and other health care institutions. It is where patient’s information and health progress records are stored and kept under confidentiality. Only those authorized individuals such as the doctors, nurses, and other health care providers are allowed to have access to patient’s data.
Aside from hospitals, storage of information through a simple gadget such as mobile phones is also important. Now a day most people would like to set password on their mobile phones just to keep some information confidential. In this way, it can create a sense of privacy, since there are some people who are granted from us to view our mobile phones. Not knowing that they already saw some personal information. Internet is also used in sending information through emails. Web sites that are equipped with email accounts should make sure that they have a reliable security system through the use of passwords or pass phrases to prevent anonymous access to personal accounts. In handling information we must first determine whether it is personal or not. Whenever disclosure of information already happened there is no turning back.
